University Masters Degrees
The University of Kent has a growing postgraduate student population. A 'Graduate School' has recently been created that "will work with departments and schools across the University to provide a strong and supportive infrastructure for postgraduate students by providing facilities and training for all postgraduates".
The brand new Woolf College at the University of Kent has been built for postgraduates, offering over 500 en-suite accommodation rooms, a 496-seat lecture theatre and seminar rooms.
Kent has a good reputation for postgraduate study. In the recent Research Assessment Exercise in 2008, the University of Kent came 24th out of 118. Five departments secured 'world-leading' status: Law, History, English, Drama and Social Policy and Sociology.
Kent masters degrees also provide excellent job prospects with 97.6% of students that graduated in 2007 finding a job or going on to further study within six months.
